1875-1894

1875-
On 7 Nov. Six La Salle Brothers with Brother Hindulphe as Director arrived in Hong Kong and took charge of St. Saviour's College. The school was renamed as St. Joseph's College.


1876-
The building was found to be small. As a result, Bishop Raimondi bought a house at 9 Caine Road, known as the Buxley Lodge, and the Brothers moved in with the students.


1878-
Re-acceptance of Chinese pupils who wanted to learn English conversation.


1879-
Governor Hennessy was invited to be the Guest-of-Honour of the Prize Giving Day.


1881-
Governor Hennessy laid the foundation Stone of the New Building and declared it open in November.


1883-
A club for old boys was organised.


1884-
The celebration of the beatification of the Venerable John De La Salle took place. It was marked by the establishment of a temporary chapel with a portable altar.
