Cross Country Competition
This year, the Annual Cross Country Race was held in mid-November. Many students participated in this race and all of them enjoyed the event.
On that day, the weather was cool and it was cloudy. After the first lesson, the competitors changed into sports wear and registrated in the New Hall. At about 10a.m., they were then taken to the starting point grade by grade. All of them gathered at Wan Chai Gap Park and waited for the great start. First went the A Grade competitors and followed by the others. After a sharp whistle blown, the competitors started to flight against a 4.2km route. The very first road to be covered was a long, steep slope. Most of the competitors would become exhausted after this part of the route and only a few of them could manage it. The remaining part was long but easy to go through. The scenery along the route was attractive and the fresh air made the competitors felt comfortable.
After a long run through Middle Gap Road and Black Link, they came back to the Wan Chai Gap Park. The whole route took about twenty to thirty minutes. Refreshment was then given and they were taken back to school by a school-bus. In conclusion, no matter whether they would get a top position in the race, all of them just wanted to participate and enjoy a happy morning.
