from G&W Gazette April 2000
125 years ago, 6 La Salle Brothers sent by the Pope came to Hong Kong and created the former St. Joseph's College. Now after more than a century, the Bishop of Hong Kong came to celebrate with us on this great day.
Organized by the Christian Union, with the help of the Students' Union and the Scout Troop, the mass was held at the Catholic Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. The mass started at 11:00 a.m. All Form 1 to 4 Josephians had arrived the church half an hour before the mass commenced. The choirs, altar boys, readers and all those helpers of the mass were all ready.
The Brothers arrived at 10:50. The mass started with a beautiful welcoming song and was conducted in a formal yet pleasant atmosphere. Hymns sung by the choir echoed in the church. The students were actively participating. The mass was ran in a smooth pace and was concluded by the choir's ending song.
The mass was a success and thanks should be given to all the workers and organizer.
