 Dress Casual Day 1998

The "Dress Casual Day" organized by the Community Chest took place on 5th October, 1998. The main purpose of this function is to give a chance to the working class and students to dress casually to work or school and raise funds for the Community Chest. Our college has always been taking part in this activity with great support, and this year is not an exception.

The day started as usual with students going to school at usual time, except that they are not in school uniform but casual clothing. The lower form students showed great excitement for not wearing school uniform during lessons and they all felt this interesting. When the lessons started the committee members of the Students' Union and the Social Service Group went into all classroom to collect donations from students and teachers. Although students are only requested to donate $10, most of them showed great generosity and donated more. This also showed the good heart of us Josephians towards those in need. The Web Publishing Board talked to a few teachers and student. Both parties think that such kinds of activities are fun and meaningful. Mr. M. T. Wong even suggested that this activity shall be held a few more times throughout the year.
