Being one of the prevalent highlights each year, the Final of the Annual Athletic meet was held on  4th January ,1999 at the Wan Chai Sports Ground. No word could ever exactly convey the intensity and excitement this competitive event possesses, inwhich Josephian athletes display their full sportsmanship on the field and the track.

Early in the morning, enthusiastic Josephians could be seen striding into the stadium. Some have already dressed up in their sports uniform, eagerly anticipating the commencement of the competition. Virtually everywhere around the stadium, colourful banners and flags can be seen fluttering in the air. Light-hearted music continued to fill the air, as if it was trying to hold back the tension and zeal that were dwelling among the athletes.

At one o'clock, the Annual Athletic Meet came to an end. Medals were distributed, and the next day was granted a day off. Those who performed outstandingly were quite pleased, but most importantly, everyone had an enjoyable and wonderful day.
